Privacy

Last updated 1 June 2026

We built Puzzle Otter to be the kind of site we'd want to use ourselves, which means collecting as little about you as we possibly can. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what happens with your information when you visit. If anything here is unclear, please get in touch and we'll explain it properly.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. We don't ask for your name, email or any account details to play a game, because there are no accounts. We don't run Google Analytics or any similar tracking service, we don't place advertising cookies, and we don't embed third-party pixels or social trackers on our pages.

What stays on your device

When you play, the game keeps a little information in your own browser — for example your current board and your move count — so a game doesn't vanish if you accidentally refresh. This never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it completely.

The one font we load

Our pages use two typefaces served by Google Fonts. When your browser fetches those font files, Google receives the request as part of delivering them, which can include your IP address. We use this purely so the site looks the way we designed it — we receive no data from it ourselves. You can read how Google handles font requests in their own privacy documentation.

Our hosting

Like almost every website, our host keeps standard server logs (such as the IP address making a request and the time it happened) for a short period to keep the site secure and running. We don't use these logs to build a profile of you, and we don't combine them with anything else.

Children

Our games are gentle and suitable for all ages. Because we don't collect personal information from anyone, we don't knowingly collect it from children either.

Changes to this page

If we ever change how any of this works, we'll update this page and move the date at the top. Since the whole point of the studio is to keep things small and private, we don't expect big changes.

Questions

Write to us any time at [email protected]. A real person — either Marisol or Davit — will read it.
